Organic Sprout Tops

Straight from our own fields these loose leafed cabbage-like leafs are the bits that grow on top of the sprout stalks. 

Cook them by steaming, boiling, stir-frying or wilting down in  some butter. Simply remove the thickest parts of the white stem and shred down as desired.

Reasons to eat sprout tops:

  • Like other cruciferous vegetables, they are fantastic at helping to lower cholesterol helping to excrete excess bile acids - to maximise this charcteristic, steam your sprouts.
  • They have exceptionally high levels of glucosinolate - an essential component of multiple cancer protective substances our bodies build.
